Jonas Rosén, a veteran of the DIY experimental scene for over 30 years, is known for collaborations with Fred Lonberg-Holm, Merzbow, Richard Pinhas, and more. After the closure of his long-running project Senza Testa (2007–2024), Rosén returns with a new alias: F A I D R O S.
Blending analog synths, deep arpeggios, and dark ambient textures, Faidros draws inspiration from Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze — with a stripped-down, futuristic edge. The debut features two long-form tracks, mastered by Stefan Betke (Pole), and was recorded at Studio Djupvik.
Released on October 17th 2025 on limited vinyl (200 copies), European & Japanese cassettes, and digital via Djupviks Elektronik. Also available: an exclusive Eurorack module replicating sounds from the album — handbuilt by Rosén himself.
“Faidros represents a new event horizon for Jonas Rosén (ex-Senza Testa) along the eternal aural continuum. Space is a vacuum of near-silence, but the cosmic audio odyssey carries on through inaudible inter-galactic low-frequency rays of sound, augmented by nebulous vintage analog synthesizers. This release marks a new astral deviation into sonic planatarian landscapes partially traversed by visionary pioneers like Edgar Froese and Klaus Shulze, but brooding on an e darker, more bleak and barren future.
Faidros’ expeditions into audial space have only just begun.
End transmission”
