Frida Madeleine and Jan Strandqvist is Red Mecca. The re-invention of Red Mecca started in 2013 when these two creative souls found a common playground for their ideas. Jan has a background in one of Sweden’s most influential punk/post-punk band – Brända Barn – and the meeting of his rough background with the coolness of Frida creates fantastic musical landscapes.
They have dreamt together in a waking state. Of the whispering and screaming memories in an abandoned house in the middle of the forest. Around the forgotten rusty sawmills. In the empty and echoing factories of their hometown in the North of Sweden.
You are about to disappear into black sunrises. Observing the monsters, dwindling to clockwork-toys on their shelves.
