The show “Henrik Fexeus Mentalisten” is produced by Lifeline Entertainment ABFinally on vinyl and streaming: the music from Henrik Fexeu’s performance Mentalisten (The Mentalist) – specially written and composed by Dag Rosenqvist.
The music was created and developed in parallel with the performance, and was shaped in conjunction with the story, the set design, and the lighting. The result was a relaxed and personal sound world, which bears traces of both melancholy, nostalgia, and closeness – like a kind of musical memory.In addition to pieces heard in the performance, the album also contains music that was created during the process but never found a place on stage – sound images that nevertheless belong to the same universe.With a pedal organ and piano as central instruments, Rosenqvist has created a sound that feels organic, ancient, and warm – a musical reminder of our memories, our roots, and those who came before us.
The album serves as both an echo of The Mentalist and a standalone work – for those who saw the performance and want to revisit it, and for those who never saw it but want to step into their own, inner story.
About Dag Rosenqvist.
Since his debut album in 2005, Gothenburg-based sound artist Dag Rosenqvist has released over 50 albums, EPs, and cassette tapes in a variety of constellations. Today, he creates music under his own name or with the contemporary classical duo From The Mouth of The Sun (with Aaron Martin). Over the years he has also collaborated with artists such as Machinefabriek, Mike Weis (from Zelienople), Simon Scott (formerly Slowdive) and many others.
