“The Lost Carnival Tapes” originates from the bizarre incident where all the musical material disappeared from my computer, only to be sent to a factory in China and then returned six months later in perfect condition. The carnival vibe is inspired by the vague memories of the ’90s, where the sound of a whistle is ever-present. Unlike the “Le Fruit Disco” era, this is more consistent dance music that my live performance delivers.”
