Passage is a new full-length release from the Swedish musician and producer Albin Johansson. Following the LP MT4X (Rundgång Rekords, 2018), Passage sets the vibes from the 70s krautrock scene in a contemporary context of downtempo electro. Using analog synthesizers and drum machines, Albin has created a melodic and minimal soundscape that loops and builds on itself. The album was recorded on an eight track tape machine in Albin’s studio in Malmö.
During the last years, Albin has played over 100 solo shows in various places such as Malmö, Berlin, Vienna, and New York. Albin also creates electronic music in collaboration with Mika Forsling. Under his alias PAL, he has had several releases and is known for his remix of the Alice Boman song ”Waiting”. Albin is also a skilled keyboard-player and multi-instrumentalist, and has worked with many artists, such as Solander and Big Fox.
