10. Glimmer 03:40“Passager” is the title of Henrik Meierkord and Pelle Andersson’s new album released on the Stockholmbased label Ella Ruth Institutet.
An extremely personal album where grand piano, synths and cellos create a thoughtful soundscape filled with blackness and sadness but also streaks of light.
The album was recorded in 2024 in different stages, when Pelle’s wife was fighting an incurable cancer and her time to be with her family as long as possible.
“The new album is a kind of navigation between different emotional ranges. Passages between hope and warmth, despair and panic. Where light meets darkness, the beautiful the distorted,” say Pelle & Henrik.
“Time, rushes fast, goes slowly, is perspective, a yardstick, creates different events, a constant companion.
The mirror, shows different, faces, time spans, hopes, horror, details, satisfaction, fatigue, always reflecting.
The thought, spins, stuns, remembers, longs, escapes, comforts, clouds, is freedom and a prison, always present.
