“Growing up in rural Sweden in the late 80’s early 90’s, electronic dance music was an enormous revelation. Like many others of my generation, the discovery came via disco, synth and italo (and Soul Corner, a show on swedish public radio). Back then, boundaries between genres where basically non-existant to me. When I made a mixtape I had no problem mixing Laserdance, Orbital and Front Line Assembly with Soft Cell and The Mover. Being a hick, I was blissfully unaware of the difference between synth, house and techno. To me it was just great music and that was all that mattered.
I tried to put together this compilation with the same mindset. A collection of tracks that may differ in genre, but comes together in vibe, power and emotion. A mixtape for the pre-party psych-up, the post-rave comedown and the soundtrack in your earbuds on your walk home from work.
